KIAP conducted an on-site inspection of the contract management and "compliance" system to identify risks of improper contract performance with the operator of one of the production sharing agreements. This project is systemically important because, among other things, it generates substantial tax revenues for the regional and federal budgets, as well as providing jobs, including for the local population, and launches ESG initiatives.
In the second stage, KIAP supported the client in the negotiations for prolongation of the contract on new terms, including taking into account the identified risks of the old contract.
Hereinafter our team advised the client on potential mechanisms to develop the corporate structure to improve corporate governance and protect contractual processes from certain employees misconduct and non-competitive market practices.
